The war in Gaza has hardened positions in the Middle East and around the globe. But two men, an Israeli and a Palestinian, say that after that war began in 2023, they became like brothers.

‘These encounters represent a radical attempt to break the cycle of fear, violence, and dehumanisation which is the daily lived reality of so many in Israel/Palestine’

Capital punishment is a violation of fundamental human rights, that is the right to life. This new Israeli law would not even allow for the right to appeal before execution.

“At a time characterized by war, mistrust and despair, the Bereaved Families Forum offers a rare spark of hope for the future,” the nomination states.
